First Meeting of the Committee on Biocybernetics and Biomedical Engineering of the Polish Academy of Sciences, 2024–2027 Term

Note from the plenary meeting of the Committee on Biocybernetics and Biomedical Engineering of the Polish Academy of Sciences – 7 March 2024

On 7 March 2024, the first plenary meeting of the Committee on Biocybernetics and Biomedical Engineering of the Polish Academy of Sciences for the 2024–2027 term was held. The meeting took place at the Nalecz Institute of Biocybernetics and Biomedical Engineering of the Polish Academy of Sciences and was chaired by Prof. Michał Mrozowski, Deputy Chair of the Board of Curators of Division IV – Technical Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences, who, after confirming the quorum, conducted the election of the Chair of the Committee.

The Committee elected the members of the Committee Presidium:

Prof. Adam Liebert – Chair of the Committee

Prof. Halina Podbielska – Deputy Chair of the Committee

Prof. Piotr Augustyniak – Deputy Chair of the Committee

Prof. Zbigniew Paszenda – Member of the Committee Presidium

Prof. Gerard Cybulski – Member of the Committee Presidium

Dr hab. Joanna Stachowska-Piętka – Secretary of the Committee

In the further part of the meeting, three Committee commissions were established: the Education Commission, the Basic Research Commission, and the Applied Research and Implementation Commission.
