The Committee supports the “3% for Science, 100% for Poland” initiative

On 15 June 2026, the Committee on Biocybernetics and Biomedical Engineering of the Polish Academy of Sciences unanimously adopted a resolution supporting the proposals set out in the “3% for Science, 100% for Poland” petition.
The Committee emphasises the need to increase research funding in response to years of underinvestment, which has particularly affected biomedical engineering. Increased funding is essential to ensure adequate remuneration, attract and retain talented researchers, develop modern research infrastructure and purchase specialist equipment.
